QUALIFYING:
Tipton's Race Recap: "It was a rough week for GearUp. Early cautions threw strategy to the wind with old tires fighting fresh tires, long fuel strategies, and some guy's short pitting. Congrats to Brad Herman for his hard-earned 2nd place. The rest of the guys finished throughout the field. We'll take next week off and get some well-earned rest then come back with a vengeance at Richmond."

"I was great on the long run-in practice and qualified great. But I was mediocre on the long run during the race, and pit strategy cost us track position. I ran out of talent with 8 to go and essentially took out a teammate in the process. Took 2 on the final caution and got some track position late to bounce back to 13th. I feel awful about the entire race. We have an off-week next week where we can regroup as a unit and get back to business, so that'll be good for working on Richmond. And that's a track I love to run, so hopefully we can finish better next week. Thanks to Tipton for the info all race and everybody else on track for keeping it clean around me."

"We had a really rough night as team, things weren't lining up for us. I was battling the flu this past week and didn't turn one lap in all weeks. I managed to make my way up halfway through the field after qualifying pretty far back. A late caution came out and I had a last-minute opportunity to make a couple more spots. After taking two tires I made about 6 spots to finish the race in 12th. Brad Herman#85 Had a great push there at the end with a chance to win, congratulations to him on the podium. Thanks to the GearUp Family, our team had a good time tonight, and we are looking forward to our next race. Tipton Did an amazing job tonight keeping us lined up and we sure appreciate having him around! "

"Decent bounce back after a disappointing Darlington finish. Despite a top 10 finish, I didn't have the pace to run in the top 10 tonight. Drivers around me all night were far more aggressive than I was tonight. I was focused on long runs and saving tires much more than those around me. This consistently cost me spots all evening. Until the caution with 5 to go, it was looking like a 19th place for me. Took 2 tires on the yellow and restarted 9th. Fought hard to hold on to P10 and thanks to Michael Politis #6 for cutting me a break on the last lap to secure 10th. Thanks to GearUp, Franklin Motorsports and Latham-Grafix for their support. Also, thank to Tipton for being the eye in the sky for us once again."

"Started the night about normal qualifying mid pack and having to work my way up, with wanting to converse tire passing was hard to come by, played a team strategy that we all thought wouldn't work and unfortunate our teammates were the cause of the cause we needed, so i took 2 tires and came out in the lead. GWC and i thought i had it in the bag but came up a spot short with an amazing finish, happy to have a good run for the team and for points, the hunt continues in Richmond let's keep this momentum rolling. Thanks to Tipton on the box and all of Gearup motorsports!!"
