QUALIFYING:
Tipton's Race Recap: "It was an unfortunate night for GearUp Motorsports. Talladega proved to be the plate racing monstrosity we've all come to know and love. Brian McEvoy got collected on lap 11 in a case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Lap 56 collected Brad Herman when he was given a little extra chrome horn coming out of turn 4 onto the front stretch. Rob Norfleet had some pit issues that got him hung out from the rest of the pack and left behind. Tim Latham and Mike Politis drove tough and came out of the maelstrom with top ten finishes. We'll get a nice break over the holidays and come back strong in the new year. Happy Holidays everyone. We'll see you back in a few weeks."

"We seemed good, but we weren't lucky enough. I lost grips of the race at the very first green flag pitstop. I overshot my pitstall consequently I lost my focus and the race kept slipping away from me. Instead of bouncing back I kept making errors that didn't help the cause at all. We completed the first half of the season and we are where we want to be for the second half. We didn't get the most points tonight as a team, but we were not concerned about points, we were trying to survive and some of us didn't make it. @Tipton held us down tonight as always and we appreciate his dedicated input."

"Another superspeedway race, another wreck that takes my pack out of contention. Same exact thing happened at Daytona. Qualified horribly but made my way to the front half of the pack. Got shuffled back to the middle of the pack and then the wreck happened. Mike and I made a good enough run back up through the field to get up to P11 and P12. Essentially with other drivers getting penalties, it's as if we finished 9th and 10th, so I'll take it. Unfortunately, Brad and Brian got taken out, and Rob sped on pit road. But I believe we won our team matchup this week, so that's a plus. A decent night, but could've and should've been better. Thanks to Tip for the spotting and insight, and thanks to Mike for helping get us back to the front of the pack that we were in. I'm just happy we're going to a real racetrack next week. Onto Indy Road Course!"
