QUALIFYING:
Tipton's Race Recap: "We were strong tonight. Unfortunately, Tank managed to beat us and now we're tied in the best of three for the Team Championships and we'll take it to Las Vegas next week to try for a repeat. Brad Herman was our best finisher coming in 3rd place after running strong and using a bit of strategy by taking two tires on his last stop. Brian McEvoy finished 9th after battling his way through the field after qualifying 22nd. Tim Latham came in 10th after starting 23rd. He ran strong most of the night but the decision to pit and take four tires didn't pan out for him. Rob Norfleet finished 11th after laboring his way up from an 18th starting position. And Mike Politis rolled the dice on a pit strategy and finished 15th. It was nice to have all five of the cars on the team finish in the top 15. It says a lot about how strong this team really is. We've got one more to go at Las Vegas next week. I believe this team will have something to say when we get there."

"WE ARE RACING FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP! Had the kinda night we need last night and was a solid clean race for me, started p11 and stayed around the top 10 till first pit stops and decided to stretch my tank which made me lose time and dropped to 15. had to fight back hard but pit strategy with 2 tires made the difference and i was able to make up whole sale position on a gwc and managed to drag race for 3rd to the line. Can't thank my GearUp Apparel guys enough for supporting me and hoping we can take it home in vegas next week!"

"Ran mid pack all race, I could have finished closer towards the top 10 if I did a couple things differently. Everyone in the league drove competitive tonight. It was fun racing at Homestead. We raced with too much patience tonight and probably needed to have a little more urgency to get through the field. I want to thank our Premium Members for their support. We were happy to have Brian McEvoy #79 back, Tipton had a stressful race tonight to say the least! Thanks to everyone tuning in and supporting our racing TEAM!"

"Solid night after a terrible qualifying effort. I made a mistake entering turn 1 on my Q lap and over shot the corner. That relegated me to a 22nd place qualifying position. At the start of the race I was focused on trying to stay with the lead pack and had to race hard get ahead of a few cars. I was able to drive my way up to 15th before my first pit stop on lap 42. Had a solid pit stop and settled in to 12th after everyone made their first stop. From there focused on trying to hold my position and gain what I could on the lead pack. We had a caution on lap 61 which bunched the field back up. I restarted in 12th and was racing hard in the pack and bouncing between 10th and 14th. My strategy was to spit the last 60 laps in half. I made a pit stop on lap 92 and settled in 11th. Looked like that was where I was going to end up until a caution with 3 to go. Like many in the pack I took 2 tires and restarted in 12th. Was a crazy restart and focused on holding the bottom. Ended up coming home P9. From where we started it was a good night overall. Not one of my stronger tracks but was happy to pass a number of cars and work my way forward. Solid team effort tonight by the GearUp Apparel team. As always, thanks to GearUp Apparel Apparel , Franklin Motorsports and Latham-Grafix for their support. Thanks to Tipton for being our eye in the sky again tonight."
