No 6 - Michael Politis
"30,000 feet up. Missed the race. Watched a race for the first time, Brian McEvoy #79 was getting some attention battling with Lane Hosler #61, Timothy Latham #5 drove great staying out of trouble and securing a top 10. Not sure what ended up happening with the rest of the boys, the broadcast didn’t capture it."
No 79 - Brian McEvoy
"Solid night overall for the #79. The two weeks of preparation paid off for the most part. Qualified P6 which was about where I figured I would be. From the start my strategy was to do this one 1 stop so fuel saving from lap 1. Unfortunately this did not appear to be the strategy to be on as the top 5 were pushing. I stuck to my plan and just rode it out. The nice part about the fuel saving strategy is it didn't force me to push the car and was able to keep the tires under me the entire run. This made the race for me rather uneventful and I was just able to focus on clean laps. With some attrition I was able to bring the car home in P5. Overall another solid points night heading in to Darlington. Thanks to GearUp, Franklin Motorsports and Latham-Grafix for their support. Most importantly thinking of our man Tipton. Hoping he feels better soon and get back on his perch."
No 85 - Brad Herman
"Plan was to stay out of trouble and start in the back, things were going as planned until right before pit stops, I locked up my brakes and was sideways on the track so I had to tow, didn't think I was pushing too hard but i ruined my race from there, came outta pit to try and salvage what I could and ended up spinning again bc I had damage to my car and collected Brian McEvoy #79 in my dumb mistake, I feel bad and just didn't execute the race right at all."
No 5 - Timothy Latham
"Not much to say about this week. Had to start in the back due to the last race and figured this would be a drop week. Stayed positive, never gave up and ended up with a P8 due to a few mishaps by others. Great points night. Onto Darlington."
