QUALIFYING:
Tipton's Race Recap: "Nice run at Bristol. The gang showed a lot of speed throughout the race with most of the guys running top-ten for the greater part of the race. Brad Herman passed most of the field starting 22nd and finishing solid with a 4th place. Tim Latham stayed around the top-ten all race starting 5th and finishing 8th. Mike Politis started 17th and worked his way back and forth through the field to finish in 11th. Robert Norfleet started 3rd and stayed up front for most of the race but fell onto some bad luck on the last lap but still finished a solid 13th. It was a great showing by the team on a difficult track with a lot of traffic. Herman, Norfleet, and Politis were currently 14th, 15th, and 16th in points coming into the race. With 12th place through 20th only separated by 24 points, it's a tight race to get into the playoffs. That said, the GearUp Gang finished ahead of almost everyone in that fight. It'll be interesting to see how much ground they've gained."

"Had an awesome bristol race all things considered, messed up my qualifying lap and had to start P.21, kept it cool and saved tire with some luck the first run was a long green flag run and i was able to capitalize and get into the top 10 by the first caution around lap 70. kept doing what i was doing running the "harvick" line around the bottom and just letting them come to me, had a decently long run to finish the race and i was just a little to far behind, maybe i saved to much but i was chasin them down, really happy with my performance and need more of these heading into the playoff. Thanks to all the GearUp guys and for having a good run and staying in the race, was a tough race but a good points night. and hats off to Tipton for being the best damn spotter & crew chief on the box!"

"I had little to no experience entering the Bristol race tonight and haven't been getting much seat time the past few weeks. This shortcoming turned out to be an advantage during the race because I wasn't good enough in the beginning of the run to use up the tires as a result I had improved pace late in the run. That helped me stay in the lead lap until the very end. I could have done even better but tore up the front end when I came together with another car and took a bite of the wall causing about 2 minutes of repairs. Couldn't get the damage repaired since the second half of the race went green and I pretty much hugged the bottom all the way through. I learned a thing or two about short track racing and I hope to use what I learned in Bristol at Michigan. LOL. Although league racing appears to generally be clean at SRN we are going through hell lately trying to complete our races in one piece. Some of it have been on us and in other situations we have been collected. Communication over the radio is getting better, we are slowly returning from vacation mode Timothy Latham #5 lol and we certainly hope to see Brian McEvoy #79 return next race. Super happy for Brad Herman#85 holding his own late in the race and we are glad he is doing well over in the Truck series with Ratpack. Thank you to our Premium Members for making all this possible, and stay tuned for the 2023 playoffs."
